Victor Boniface has been ruled out for the remainder of the year following an injury sustained during Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Rwanda on Monday.
The Bayer Leverkusen forward suffered a muscle fiber tear in his thigh and has not participated in training since returning to Germany. The 23-year-old is expected to make his comeback early next year.
This marks another injury setback for Boniface, who missed approximately three months last season due to an adductor injury. Despite the challenges, the striker has been impressive this season, netting eight goals in 15 appearances across all competitions for Die Werkself.
