The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, has denied any involvement in the financial infractions in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

The Minister was alleged to have received 438.1 million naira from the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Beta Edu, in the 3-billion-naira social register scam through a company, New Planet Project, which was alleged to be his own.

Though he admitted that he founded the company, Tunji Ojo said he resigned as a director in 2019 when he became a member of the House of Representatives.
