In a promising development, the Minister of Defence, Muhammed Badaru, and the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, have pledged to bring about substantial changes to Nigeria's security architecture within the span of a year.

The two newly appointed ministers shared their commitments with the press shortly after assuming their roles at the Ship House, Ministry of Defence, Abuja. This came just a day after their official inauguration as cabinet members.

During the media briefing, Matawalle articulated the ministry's dedication to constructing a robust Defence framework with the capacity to manage any form of threats that may arise effectively.
