Before becoming well-known, Nigerian singer Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, better known by her stage name Ayra Starr, was a social media troll.

The singer, 22, revealed that she had a page devoted to Nicki Minaj, a rapper.

She disclosed this on the I Said What I Said podcast, co-hosted by Feyikemi Abudu and Jola Ayeye.

“I had a troll page, I had a Nicki Minaj fan page before I became Ayra Starr,” she said.

Since becoming famous, Ayra Starr has been very vocal about bullying from online trolls.

She has been repeatedly trolled over her skimpy dressing and postures. She once responded to trolls, saying her “bad postures” were due to the weight of carrying Afrobeats singlehandedly.
