Wilshere Scores In First Start For Bournemouth

Jack Wilshere says he "forgot how to celebrate" after scoring in Bournemouth's FA Cup fourth-round victory over Crawley.

Wilshere, starting for the first time in his second spell at the club, curled in the opener from 20 yards after collecting Joshua King's backheel.

But the midfielder's celebration was muted despite it being his first goal since 27 August 2019.

"I was a bit shocked. I probably should have had a couple more," Wilshere said.

"Last time I was here, I didn't score and it didn't sit well with me. I forgot how to celebrate."

League Two Crawley, who caused a shock by beating Leeds in the third round, were briefly level via Tom Nichols' close-range finish but King's placed effort was enough to see the hosts through.

The Cherries now travel to Burnley in the fifth round on Wednesday, 10 February.

Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face reigning champions the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 55 on 7 February.

Quarterback Brady, 43, threw three touchdown passes to help the Buccaneers defeat the Green Bay Packers 31-26 in the NFC Championship game and reach their first Super Bowl in 18 seasons.

The Chiefs then beat the Buffalo Bills 38-24 at Arrowhead Stadium to seal the AFC Championship, thanks to touchdowns from Mecole Hardman, Darrel Williams, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and two from Travis Kelce.

Super Bowl 55 will take place at the Buccaneers' Raymond James Stadium and it will be the first time a team has played in NFL's showpiece at their home ground.

As a result of Covid-19 restrictions, only 22,000 people will be at the match, with 7,500 places reserved for health care workers, who have been given free tickets.

Horoya knock Enyimba out of Confed Cup

Enyimba’s hopes of qualifying for the semi-final of the CAF Confederation’s Cup were dashed on Sunday, as they lost 2-0 away to Horoya in Conakry.

The Guinean side won the tie 3-1 on aggregate after holding Enyimba to a 1-1 draw at the Aba Township Stadium on March 1.

Nigerian forward Bolaji Sakin scored the first goal in the 27th minute, curling the ball to the far post from the edge of the area after Enyimba failed to clear a corner.

Both teams went into half-time with Enyimba on the brink of elimination.

The second half started where the first ended, with Stanley Dimgba failing to connect well with a corner in the 65th minute.

While Enyimba were seeking for an equaliser, Boubacar Samassekou doubled the lead for the home side, thumping in a header past the keeper after running to the edge of the six-yard box to connect a corner kick.

Other players informed the referee and he was eventually rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Our correspondent gathered that the Peugeot 406 ambulance stationed at the match venue did not start, before the player was eventually rushed to the hospital in one of the vehicles in Governor Sule’s convoy.

According to him, the match continued after the defender was rushed to the hospital and it eventually ended 3-0 in favour of Nasarawa United.

The players were only told about Martins’ death after the game. They could not celebrate the victory as they were all crying.
