Chelsea Back To Top-4 After Goalless Draw With Brighton

Chelsea shared a goalless draw with Brighton to climb into the Champions Leagues places on a night where the future of European football came to a dramatic head.

It was in fact Brighton who enjoyed the best chances late on as first substitute Adam Lallana fired wide before Danny Welbeck struck the post from distance.

Defender Ben White was then sent off for the visitors in stoppage time for a second booking as Chelsea looked to break away.

The Blues created little but a point was enough to see Thomas Tuchel's side take up the last of those automatic places, going above London rivals West Ham, who they face on Saturday.

The draw moves Graham Potter's side seven points above the Premier League relegation zone with six games to play.

Ed Woodward To Resign As Man Utd Vice-Chairman

Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward will step down from his role at the end of 2021.

The announcement came before Manchester United, along with the other five Premier League sides involved in the proposed European Super League (ESL), withdrew from the competition.

The planned breakaway league has received widespread condemnation.

49-year-old Woodward, joined United in 2005 and has been in his current role since 2012.

He was set to leave at the end of the year but the decision to announce his departure has been brought forward.

"I am extremely proud to have served United and it has been an honour to work for the world's greatest football club for the past 16 years," said Woodward.

"The club is well positioned for the future and it will be difficult to walk away at the end of the year."

After plans for the ESL were announced on Sunday, Woodward stepped down from his role on UEFA's Professional Football Strategy Council.

The move will sever long-standing ties between Woodward and the Glazer family.

Woodward played a major role in getting their controversial takeover completed in 2005.

Paul Onuachu Ranked Best Striker In Belgium

Super Eagles forward, Paul Onuachu has been tagged the "goal king" of Belgium after he secured 29 goals for Genk in the regular season, with the stats also indicating he is the best striker in Belgium.

Onuachu has netted 29 goals in 33 league games, a goal shy of the record set by Wesley Sonck.

He averaged 0.96 goal every 90 minutes, which translates to a goal per game.

These impressive stats. makes Onuachu the sharpest striker in the Jupiler Pro League. After him, Kevin Denkey (Cercle Brugge, 0.73), Bas Dost (Club Brugge, 0.71), Thomas Henry (OH Leuven, 0.65) and Zinho Gano (KV Kortrijk, 0.64) follow at a respectable distance.

On the other hand, with that ratio, Onuachu belongs to the Top 10 centre-forwards in the Top 5 leagues of Europe.

These remarkable numbers mean the man Genk splashed out six million Euros to sign two years ago will now be significantly worth more than his present estimation.
