Rafael Nadal Wins 10th Italian Open Title

Rafael Nadal won his 10th Italian Open with a 7-5 1-6 6-3 victory over world number one Novak Djokovic in Rome.

Both players dropped serve early on in the first set before Nadal took it after securing the key break at 5-5.

Djokovic dominated the second set but paid for not taking two break points in the fifth game of the decider.

A stunning backhand from Spaniard Nadal saw him break the Serb in the next game before he went on to hold his serve and nerve to close out the match.

"I had a very positive week and I'm very happy," said 34-year-old Nadal, who will defend his French Open title when the tournament at Roland Garros starts on 30 May.

The match was their 57th meeting and Djokovic, 33, has had his lead in their head-to-head wins tally cut to 29-28.

Fury Confirms August 14 For Joshua Showdown

Tyson Fury says his world heavyweight title showdown with Anthony Joshua will take place in Saudi Arabia on 14 August.

The all-British bout has been billed as one of the biggest in heavyweight boxing for decades and the winner will become undisputed champion.

Joshua, 31, holds the WBA, WBO and IBF belts, while Fury, 32, is WBC champion.

The fight will see all four belts on the line in a heavyweight bout for the first time in history.

The last undisputed heavyweight champion was Britain's Lennox Lewis from 1999 to 2000, in an era when fighters did not need to hold the WBO belt to be recognised as undisputed champion.

In announcing the fight date in a video on Twitter, Fury said: "All eyes of the world will be on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and I cannot wait to smash Anthony Joshua on the biggest stage of all times.

"This is going to be the biggest sporting event ever to grace the planet earth. Do not miss it."

Plans for a fight between the pair were set in motion when Fury defeated Deontay Wilder to capture the WBC title in February last year.

Barcelona Thrash Chelsea To Win Women’s Champions League

Chelsea conceded four goals in the first 36 minutes as Barcelona blew them away to win their first Women's Champions League in Gothenburg.

Chelsea trailed 33 seconds in when an attempted clearance hit Melanie Leupolz and went in for an own goal, and Alexia Putellas' penalty made it 2-0.

Aitana Bonmati finished an intricate move and Caroline Graham Hansen tapped in to put a rampant Barca out of sight.

Despite a spirited second-half display there was no way back for the Blues.

Barcelona become the first club to win both the men's and women's Champions League, and this was the biggest ever winning margin in a women's final.

Emma Hayes' Chelsea side had hoped to add a European crown to their Women's Super League and League Cup triumphs this season, as they looked to become only the second English side in history, after Arsenal in 2007, to complete the quadruple.

Late Suarez Strike Keeps Atletico In Pole Position For Title

Luis Suarez scored a dramatic late winner as Atletico Madrid fought back to beat Osasuna and put themselves on the verge of a first La Liga title for seven years.

Diego Simeone's side now travel to Real Valladolid in their final game knowing that a win will clinch the title.

Ante Budimir's header had put Osasuna on course for a shock win and seen Real Madrid briefly top the table.

But Renan Lodi levelled before Suarez steered in Yannick Carrasco's cross.

Both Atletico goals arrived in the final 10 minutes of a compelling contest - and just as it looked as though they were going to have to surrender top spot to their city rivals.

Real, who were leading and went on to win at Athletic Bilbao, were in pole position for the title with two minutes remaining.
