Algeria & Morocco To Submit Bid To Host AFCON 2025

North African giants, Algeria and Morocco are intent on presenting a bid to host the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Sunday it has withdrawn the hosting right of the competition from Guinea following some complaints.

CAF took the decision due to the country's lack of quality infrastructure and facilities to host the 24-team competition.

Former President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, recently stated his plans to push for a joint bid between Nigeria and neighbours, Benin Republic who were willing to stage Africa's flagship soccer event.

Algerian Football Federation, Zefizef Djahid has already confirmed that his country will submit a bid to host the competition.

"Algeria has all the capabilities to host the 2025 African Cup of Nations," Djahid told Egytian club, Kingfut.com.

Morocco are also expected to submit a bid to host the competition in the coming days.

Conte Dismisses Link To Juventus Amid Rumors

Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte says reports linking him with a return to Juventus are "disrespectful" and "incredible", and insists he is happy at Spurs.

According to reports in Italy last week, Conte is open to replacing under-pressure Juve boss Massimiliano Allegri, who potentially faces the sack with the Old Lady struggling in Serie A with just two wins in seven games this season.

The Italian giants are also reportedly encouraged by Conte's contract situation at Tottenham with his current deal expiring next summer.

But Conte, who joined Spurs in November 2021 and then guided them to Champions League qualification, has rejected the rumours from his home country.

Conte's side return to action at north London rivals Arsenal on Saturday following the international break, which saw Spurs forward Richarlison racially abused while playing for Brazil.
