Arsenal’s Odegaard Returns to Training After Injury Break

Arsenal fans received a major boost on Tuesday as Martin Odegaard returned to full training at the Sobha Realty Training Centre. According to the club's website, "There was a welcome sight at the Sobha Realty Training Centre today as Martin Odegaard returned to full training with the rest of his teammates," marking a significant step in his recovery.

The update, shared in a gallery titled "Gallery: Martin Odegaard Returns to Full Training," comes after the captain's two-month absence due to an ankle injury sustained during international duty with Norway in September. His time off saw him miss 12 consecutive matches, but his return couldn’t come at a better time, with Arsenal preparing to face Inter Milan in an important Champions League clash.

Arsenal's website noted, "We head to Italy later on Tuesday afternoon aiming to maintain our unbeaten start in this season’s competition, but all Gunners supporters will be thrilled to see Martin taking the latest step towards a first-team return." Odegaard's comeback is expected to provide a morale boost for Arsenal as they look to extend their strong European run.

Back in September, manager Mikel Arteta had not ruled out Odegaard for the North London derby against Tottenham, though the injury ultimately kept him out for an extended period. With the captain now back on the training pitch, Arsenal fans are eager to see him return to action and lead the team on the field once again.

Neymar Faces Two-Week Training Setback, Says Coach

Neymar is set to miss at least two weeks of training after suffering a muscle strain during his second game back following a long-term injury, Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus has confirmed. The Brazilian star, who joined Al Hilal from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, left the field after just 26 minutes as a substitute in Al Hilal's 3-0 AFC Champions League Elite victory over Esteghlal.

The 32-year-old’s return was already being carefully managed after spending over a year sidelined due to right knee surgery. Though his knee has fully healed, Jesus explained that Neymar’s long absence has left him vulnerable to muscle issues. "He’s likely out for at least two weeks," said Jesus, "but it’s part of the recovery process after not playing for so long."

While Neymar is not registered for the Saudi Pro League season, he has been listed for the AFC Champions League Elite, Asia’s top club competition. Despite his setback, Neymar remains optimistic, sharing on Instagram, "It felt like a strong cramp. I’ll take some tests and hope it’s nothing serious. This was expected after a year out, so I need to be cautious and build up my minutes gradually."

Al Hilal’s fans are hopeful the Brazilian will make a full recovery soon as the club continues its quest for Champions League glory.

Manchester United Appoints Ruben Amorim as New Manager

Manchester United has officially announced Ruben Amorim as their new manager. In a statement released on Friday, the club confirmed that Amorim will continue with Sporting Lisbon until November 11, meaning his first match in charge will be a Premier League away game against Ipswich Town.

The 39-year-old has signed a contract that runs until June 2027, with the option to extend for an additional year. To secure his early release from a 30-day notice period, United has paid Sporting Lisbon an additional €1 million (£840,000) on top of his €10 million (£8.4 million) exit clause.

Amorim takes over from Erik ten Hag, who was dismissed from his position on Monday. In the meantime, Ruud van Nistelrooy will serve as interim manager until Amorim officially assumes his role. United's next match is a home fixture against Chelsea on Sunday.

Serie A: Lookman’s Ballon d’Or Nomination Credit Goes to Atalanta Teammates – Gasperini

Atalanta manager Gian Piero Gasperini credited Ademola Lookman’s 2024 Ballon d’Or nomination to the vital support of his Atalanta teammates. Lookman, who joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig two years ago, has quickly risen as one of the club’s standout players and earned Atalanta’s Player of the Season award for two consecutive seasons.

His exceptional performances, especially in the UEFA Europa League final, secured him a spot on the Ballon d’Or nomination list, where he ultimately placed 14th. Gasperini emphasized that Lookman’s accomplishment reflects not only his own hard work but also the collective effort of the team.

“He knows he wouldn’t be here without De Roon, Ederson, Djimsiti, and the entire squad supporting him,” Gasperini told Gazzetta dello Sport. “It’s not guaranteed he would have achieved the same result if he were playing for a different team.”
