André Onana: Manchester United Secures Agreement for Inter Milan Goalkeeper

Manchester United has successfully reached a £47.2m (55m euros) agreement to acquire the services of Inter Milan goalkeeper AndrĂ© Onana.

The deal includes an upfront payment of £43.8m, with an additional £3.4m in add-ons. The Old Trafford club is eager to have the Cameroon player join them on their upcoming tour of the United States, pending the arrangement of a visa for the 27-year-old.

Manager Erik ten Hag, who previously worked with Onana at Ajax, pursued the goalkeeper at the end of the season. Onana is expected to sign a five-year contract with an option for a sixth, indicating United's confidence in his abilities.

Ten Hag believes that Onana's addition to the squad will be significant, and his pursuit of a new goalkeeper prompted David de Gea to reject a new contract offer. Manchester United is looking forward to welcoming Onana and bolstering their team ahead of the new season.

Ryan Giggs: Former Man Utd Star Acquitted of Charges Related to Ex-Girlfriend

Former Manchester United footballer and ex-Wales manager, Ryan Giggs, has been acquitted of allegations of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Kate Greville, and her sister, Emma.

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) withdrew the charges against Giggs during a hearing at Manchester Crown Court. The 48-year-old sports personality had consistently denied the accusations of assault and controlling or coercive behavior towards Kate Greville, as well as the assault of her sister, Emma.

Judge Hilary Manley directed that Giggs was not guilty on all three counts. The decision came after the jury failed to reach verdicts during his four-week trial in August the previous year, despite more than 20 hours of deliberations.

The planned retrial, scheduled to start on 31 July at Manchester Crown Court, was rendered unnecessary as the CPS decided not to proceed with the case. Kate Greville expressed her unwillingness to testify in a retrial, citing the toll it had taken on her and her sister during the initial proceedings.

Ryan Giggs was not present in court on the day of the decision, as the judge had previously agreed that his attendance was unnecessary.

With the charges now withdrawn, Giggs can move forward without the cloud of legal allegations hanging over him.

Chelsea Secures Brazilian Winger Angelo Gabriel from Santos

In an exciting move, Chelsea Football Club has successfully secured the services of 18-year-old Brazilian winger Angelo Gabriel from Santos.

The transfer fee remains undisclosed, but it highlights the Blues' commitment to building a dynamic and talented squad.

Angelo Gabriel made history in October 2020 when, at just 15 years and 308 days old, he became the youngest player ever to feature in the Brazilian top-flight during his debut against Fluminense at the iconic Maracana Stadium.

Since then, the young prodigy has displayed exceptional skills, scoring five goals in 129 games for Santos. In April 2021, he etched his name in the record books once again as the youngest goalscorer in the prestigious Copa Libertadores, achieving this feat at the tender age of 16.

The left-footed attacker has showcased his potential at various levels for Brazil, representing the nation's under-15, under-17, and under-20 teams, displaying his immense talent on the international stage.

Angelo Gabriel marks Chelsea's third signing during the transfer window. The Blues have already welcomed France forward Christopher Nkunku from RB Leipzig for a significant sum of £52 million and secured the services of 22-year-old Senegalese striker Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal.

As the team makes new additions to strengthen their ranks, Chelsea is also keen on streamlining the squad. Several players have found new opportunities elsewhere, with midfielders Mateo Kovacic and Ruben Loftus-Cheek making moves to Manchester City and AC Milan, respectively.

Additionally, the talented midfield duo of Kai Havertz and N'Golo Kante have found new challenges at Arsenal and Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League, respectively.

Meanwhile, goalkeeper Edouard Mendy and defender Kalidou Koulibaly have joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, and defender Cesar Azpilicueta has made a free transfer move to Atletico Madrid.

Manchester United Close to Securing Andre Onana from Inter Milan as Goalkeeper

Manchester United is on the verge of securing a significant addition to their squad, as they close in on the signing of Inter Milan goalkeeper, Andre Onana.

The 27-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper is poised to replace long-time number one David de Gea, who recently bid farewell to the club after an impressive 12-year stint.

After fruitful discussions between Manchester United and Onana's representatives on Sunday, it's understood that an agreement has been reached for a five-year contract, with the option of extending it by another year.

While some details of the deal are yet to be finalized, it appears increasingly likely that Onana will complete the move just in time to join the team's tour of the United States later this week.

Manager Erik ten Hag, who knows Onana well from their time together at Ajax, believes the talented goalkeeper can provide the goalkeeping solution he has been seeking since taking the reins at Manchester United over a year ago.

Onana's impressive career at Ajax, spanning seven and a half years, paved the way for his move to Inter Milan in July 2022.

During his tenure at Inter, he displayed remarkable performances, keeping eight clean sheets in 24 Serie A games as the club finished third. He also excelled in the Champions League, recording eight clean sheets in 13 matches, the highest number for any goalkeeper in the prestigious competition.

In the Champions League final against Manchester City in June, Onana displayed his skills, despite Inter's 1-0 loss.

Upon completing the transfer, Onana will become Manchester United's second summer signing, following the acquisition of midfielder Mason Mount from Chelsea for an initial £55m.
