Manchester United and Real Betis are reportedly nearing an agreement for a loan move for Brazilian winger Antony, according to Mail Sport.

Antony, who has yet to start a league game for the Red Devils this season, has primarily been used as a substitute under new manager Ruben Amorim. The proposed move will allow him to spend the remainder of the campaign in La Liga.

Discussions between United and Betis on Saturday focused on finalizing the financial structure of the deal. United are expected to cover a portion of Antony’s £200,000 weekly wages. The loan, which will run until June 2025, does not include a purchase option.

Antony joined Manchester United in 2022 for a staggering £86 million, following former manager Erik ten Hag to Old Trafford. However, the Brazilian has struggled to meet expectations, scoring only 12 goals in 95 appearances for the club.

The move to Real Betis offers Antony a fresh opportunity to reignite his career and secure more consistent playing time.

Nigerian-born defender Michael Kayode is on the verge of a move to Premier League side Brentford from Fiorentina.

According to Violanews, Brentford are in advanced negotiations with Fiorentina to secure the young defender's services. The proposed deal would see Kayode join the Bees on loan, with an option to make the transfer permanent at the end of the season.

Fiorentina, however, are keen to include a buy-back clause in the agreement to maintain future control over the player.

The 20-year-old impressed for the Viola last season, featuring in 26 league matches. Despite his breakout campaign, Kayode has found regular playing time hard to come by under manager Raffaele Palladino this term.
