Ighalo and Osimhen Team Up with FIFPRO to Demand Unpaid Bonuses for Super Falcons

A collective voice from football stakeholders, including current and former Super Eagles players, has arisen, urging the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to promptly address the outstanding allowances owed to Super Falcons team members.

In tandem with a solidarity statement by FIFPRO, the global player union, shared on Instagram by Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala, these stakeholders have amplified the call for resolving the backlog.

Voicing their support, Napoli forward Victor Osimhen directly appealed: "Pay them NFF."

Victor Anichebe, the former Everton striker, emphasized: "NFF pay them! They did us all proud! And even if they didn't. Pay them what they are owed!!!"

Former Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo remarked, "NFF never stop these things."

The ongoing issue revolves around unpaid salaries and bonuses, which has led Randy Waldrum and the Super Falcons team to clash with the football administration. The situation escalated to the brink of a potential boycott during the Women's World Cup.

Colombia Secures England Showdown with Victory Over Jamaica

Colombia secured a spot in the Women's World Cup quarter-finals by prevailing in a hard-fought encounter against Jamaica, finishing with a 1-0 victory.

Catalina Usme, who led the Colombian team in Melbourne, skillfully curved in the deciding goal during the 51st minute of play.

Jamaica, who had not conceded any goals in the tournament for a total of 321 minutes, couldn't muster a comeback in response to Colombia's performance.

This achievement marks the first instance of Colombia advancing to the last eight stage of the Women's World Cup.

In the upcoming quarter-final match, Colombia will go up against England, the reigning European champions. The match is set to take place at Stadium Australia in Sydney on Saturday, with kickoff scheduled for 11.30 BST.

West Ham Bid Above £50m For Man Utd Pair Harry Maguire And Scott Mctominay

West Ham have made a combined bid worth more than £50m for Manchester United's Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay.

The Hammers have yet to make a signing this summer despite selling Declan Rice to Arsenal in a deal that could end up being worth £105m. They are also in advanced talks with Ajax over 25-year-old Mexico midfielder Edson Alvarez.

Meanwhile, Italy striker Gianluca Scamacca, 24, has left the club to join Atalanta for an undisclosed fee.
After Saturday's 4-0 defeat by Bayer Leverkusen, there is greater momentum behind the Hammers' recruitment drive.

Whether West Ham can reach either the fee or salary requirements to conclude a deal for the Manchester United pair is open to question.

It is understood United would be open to a deal, but both England defender Maguire, 30, and Scotland midfielder McTominay, 26, are part of Erik ten Hag's squad and the club know they would need replacements for either if they were sold.

Scamacca spent one season with the Hammers having joined on a five-year contract from Sassuolo for £30.5m last July. He made 27 appearances and scored eight goals, including five strikes in their victorious Europa Conference League campaign.

Tottenham Reject Latest Bayern Munich Offer For England Captain

Tottenham have rejected Bayern Munich's latest offer for striker Harry Kane.

Bayern had hoped to agree a deal for the England skipper but it is understood the two sides remain apart in their valuation of the 30-year-old.

The Bundesliga champions had suggested if their bid for Kane was unsuccessful on this occasion they would move on to other transfer targets.

However, with over three weeks of the transfer window left, it remains to be seen whether that is the case.

Kane, who has scored 280 goals in 435 appearances for Tottenham in all competitions, skippered Spurs in Sunday's pre-season match against Shakhtar Donetsk.

He has one year left on his contract with Tottenham and there have been no indications Kane would be willing to extend it.

If chairman Daniel Levy elects to keep the England striker it would effectively be ending the club's last chance to cash in on their talisman.

Bayern officials met Levy last week but a deal was not struck. Bild claim personal terms with Kane have already been agreed.

Tottenham begin their Premier League campaign at Brentford on 13 August. Bayern start their season with a German Super Cup meeting with RB Leipzig a day earlier.

The transfer window does not close until 1 September, but both sides would prefer a resolution before the new season begins.
