Armed Men Kidnaps Four Turkish Nationals In Kwara State.

Armed men have kidnapped four Turkish nationals in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State.

 

Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Ajayi Okasanmi who confirmed this said the foreigners were abducted at a drinking joint in Gbale village on Saturday night.

 

Those abducted were identified as Seyit Keklik, Yasin Colak, Ergun Yurdakul and Senerapal.

 

The victims are said to be construction workers.

PDP Calls On Federal Government To Explain Whereabouts Of Alleged Missing $1bn From Excess Crude Account.

The Peoples Democratic Party has called on the Federal Government to explain the whereabouts of an alleged missing $1bn from the Excess Crude Account security fund.

 

Taking to its verified Twitter handle @OfficialPDPNig on Sunday, the party said that the confession by the National Security Adviser, Gen. Babagana Mongunu on the missing money was shocking.

 

Babagana Mongunu was quoted to have said that he is not aware of the whereabouts or disbursement of the $1bn drawn from the Excess Crude Account by the Muhammadu Buhari Presidency in 2017 for security purposes.

The Alaafin of Oyo, Oba LAMIDI ADEYEMI has written a letter to President BUHARI to warn him about looming anarchy in the country if the siege laid to Yorubaland by herdsmen and kidnappers is not contained.

 

ADEYEMI, who catalogued the spate of insecurity in Yorubaland by herdsmen and their collaborators, accused BUHARI of not bringing the culprits to book.

 

He said the Yoruba had all it took to resort to self-help if the security in the zone did not improve and people guaranteed safety of lives and property.
