Deposed Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi  The Second won’t have access to visitors while on exile.

Director-General, Media and Communications for the state government, Salihu Yakasai, who made the made the disclosure, said when an Emir is dethroned, he is sent on exile in a remote location and will basically be under house arrest and won’t have access to visitors.

The executive council headed by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano claimed that Sanusi was removed for displaying disregard for laid down rules.

Angry Youths In Imo State Attack Hope Uzodinma’s Convoy.

Angry youths in Imo State are said to have attacked the convoy of the Imo state governor, Hope Uzodinma.

 

The attack took place in OhajiEgbema Local Government Area where Governor Uzodinma had travelled to pay a condolence visit to families of some victims who lost their lives during a truck crash there.

 

Police authorities in the state say some unidentified persons attacked the governor’s car while he was inside the palace of the traditional ruler of the community addressing stakeholders.

 

But the state government in a different statement said the governor was not attacked but some aggrieved youths who wanted him to address them on the activities of some oil companies in the area threw a stone at the governor’s official vehicle where the convoy parked and in the process smashed the back glass.

NCDC Says That There Are No New Confirmed Case Of COVID-19 In The Country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has said as at Saturday, the 7th of March, there was no new confirmed case of COVID-19 in the country.

 

The Director-General of NCDC, Dr Chikwe Ihekweazu who stated this in Abuja also said the confirmed case was clinically stable at the designated treatment facility for COVID-19 at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Yaba, Lagos.
