Nancy Isime Reveals The Type Of Actors She Prefers To Kiss In Movie Scenes

Nancy Isime, a popular Nollywood actress and media personality, recently opened up about her preferences when it comes to intimate scenes in movies.

She addressed the controversy surrounding a scene with her and veteran actor Richard Mofe-Damijo in Shanty Town, where the latter appeared to touch her breasts before it was revealed that a double was used.

Isime clarified that many people assume actors and actresses enjoy sex and kissing scenes. However, she dislikes such scenes because they are just part of the script.

In an interview with media personality Dadaboy, the actress explained that she prefers to share such scenes with veteran actors who understand the dynamics of the scene and are always professional about it.

Isime's remarks indicate that she is more focused on her craft as an actress and does not derive pleasure from intimate scenes on screen.

By choosing to work with experienced actors, she ensures that the scenes are executed professionally and effectively, without compromising her comfort or safety.

She said, "Well, it's a script, and yes, I do kiss in movies. But why will I enjoy it? 5,000 people around you. Enjoy what? I never enjoy doing anything. There are cameras around; it's a scene. I prefer to actually have kissing scenes with seasoned actors who understand the professionalism of a kissing scene or a sex scene.

"Sex scene, of course, because everybody is all dressed up, but there is movement." So there are literally people who understand the job, are focused, and are literally just running through a script."

When asked if she would ever go topless for a role, she said, "I don’t know. I don’t know, that’s the truth. I don’t know. I’ve not been met with that kind of script. It has to be for a scene that is probably not sexual. Probably something that maybe something is happening. Like Blood Sisters now. [Something like] there’s a killer coming so there’s too much suspense for you to even look at my breast. Do you understand?

"Let me tell you something: look at Blood Sisters. They saw the side of my boob, that is enough for them to say "oh look at that scene", but nobody talked about it because the next thing fiam fiam, it’s too much, that’s what I’m saying. That kind of scenario where it’s totally necessary. But for a sex scene, I can depict sex without you know, body being open."

Chelsea Reports £121 Million Loss

Chelsea's Net Loss of £121.3m Linked to UK Government Sanctions

New owners of Chelsea Football Club have announced a net loss of £121.3m, which they attribute to the UK government's sanctions on former owner Roman Abramovich last year.

The club released a statement citing the negative financial impact the sanctions could have in the years to come, as they are currently unable to enter into new contractual arrangements.

The London-based club was sold to a consortium led by new chairman Todd Boehly in May 2022, but were unable to sell tickets or merchandise after Abramovich was sanctioned in March of the same year.

Despite the sanctions, Chelsea saw an overall turnover increase to £481.3m from £434.9m the previous year, thanks to increased matchday revenue following the return of supporters post-pandemic.

Commercial revenue also grew to £177.1m, with the club benefiting from a net increase in sponsorship revenue from new contracts and existing partner renewals.

During the 2021/22 season, the club invested £118m in the playing squad and made a profit on player trading. Sales of Tammy Abraham to AS Roma, Marc Guehi to Crystal Palace, Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan, and Kurt Zouma to West Ham added up to £123.2m.

A statement released by Chelsea alongside a publication of the accounts read;

“The club was required to operate within the limitations of a special licence issued by the UK government. These restrictions were in place until the completion of the club’s sale on 30 May 2022.

“During this period, the club was restricted in a number of areas including, but not limited to, its ability to sell matchday and season tickets, sell merchandise, accept event bookings, as well as sign contracts with players and commercial sponsorship partners, which collectively resulted in extraordinary expenses and loss of revenue.

“Furthermore, some of these limitations are also expected to have an impact on the financials in the following years due to the long-term impact from restrictions on entering into new contractual arrangements.”

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says the Total Bridge in the Apapa area of Lagos has been closed to pave way for repair and maintenance works.

The bridge is at the Mobil road junction inward Apapa.

In a statement, the NPA said the federal ministry of works and housing closed the road at about 11:35 am on Saturday for road maintenance works.

The NPA said the road closure will remain for two months and a half, adding that relevant security agencies are on ground to manage the traffic situation in the affected areas.

It said given the impact the closure will have on port users, the authority in partnership with LASTMA, police, FRSC, and the Nigerian Navy have worked out alternative routes and are on ground to manage the traffic situation in the affected areas.

The UK Deputy High Commissioner to Nigeria, Ben Llewellyn-Jones, has said the mission is working on the list of those it will slam with visa ban.

He also said the mission had between five and 10 names on its list already, adding that more would still be added.

Ben Llewellyn-Jones stated this while speaking on a current affairs programme.

He said the names of defaulters would not be published as expected in some quarters.

The British High Commission had last week said the UK Minister of State for Development and Africa, Andrew Mitchell, was prepared to take action against those who engaged in or incited electoral violence during the just-concluded general elections.
