The Federal Government is considering extension of the curfew hours as part of its response to the second wave of coronavirus pandemic in the country.

The National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force, Dr. SANI ALIYU, who disclosed this at the PTF briefing in Abuja, said the Federal Government was in talks with state governments on the review of the curfew.

The PTF coordinator also sensitized health workers to be wary of patients who present persistent fever or shortness of breath; which he said is possibly going to be COVID.

Also at the briefing, the Minister of Education, Mallam ADAMU ADAMU, said the January 18 date for schools to resume was not sacrosanct.

He said the date would be subjected to a review as a new date might be announced.

FBI Warns Of Possibility Of Armed Protests Ahead Joe Biden’s Swearing In

The FBI is warning of the possibility of armed protests being held across the US in the days before JOE BIDEN is sworn in as president.

There are reports of armed groups planning to gather at all 50 state capitols and in Washington DC in the run-up to his 20 January inauguration.

The fears come as security plans are hardened for the event itself.

On Monday, Mr. BIDEN told reporters he was not afraid to take the oath of office outside of the US Capitol.

The Chief of the National Guard Bureau, DANIEL HOKANSON said security will be beefed up in most states in the US.

NBA MVP Antetokounmpo Helps Bucks Defeat Mavericks

Milwaukee star GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO shook off foul trouble to score 13 of his 22 points in the second half Monday as the Bucks pulled away for a 121-99 NBA victory over the Magic in Orlando.

ANTETOKOUNMPO, the two-time defending NBA Most Valuable Player, showed no sign of the back spasms that forced him out of the Bucks win over Cleveland on Saturday, adding six rebounds, four assists and two blocked shots.

KHRIS MIDDLETON scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and BOBBY PORTIS chipped in 20 points off the bench as the Bucks notched their fifth win in six games.

Orlando's NIKOLA VUCEVIC led all scorers with 28 points and 13 rebounds, but it wasn't enough in the first meeting between the teams since Milwaukee ousted Orlando in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs in August.

Orlando forward AARON GORDON threw down a dunk over ANTETOKOUNMPO early in the fourth to pull the Magic within 88-86.

ANTETOKOUNMPO responded with a three-pointer and assisted on PORTIS's shot from beyond the arc as the Bucks rebuilt their lead.

AFTER GORDON's dunk, the Bucks scored 22 of the next 24 points as they put the game out of reach for the Orlando Magic, further moving them to second, behind the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference.
