Nigerian Rapper Lil Frosh Remanded In Ikoyi Prison Over Alleged Domestic Violence

Nigerian Rapper Sanni Goriola also known as Lil Frosh has been remanded in Ikoyi prison over the domestic violence allegation levelled against him.

Music star Lil Frosh has been battling domestic abuse allegations levelled against him by his ex-lover.

A suit was filed against the up and coming rapper at the Lagos state Magistrate court in Yaba with the help of theInternational Association Of Women Lawyers, Lagos State branch.

At the hearing on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the MagistrateAdeola Olatunbosun, adjourned the case till March 9, 2021.

According to reports, Lil Frosh is to remain in prison custody till the next hearing.

It would be recalled that the rapper was called out by his girlfriend's manager and brother, Michael, back in 2020 for assaulting his sister.

Michael went on to share photos of Okeoghene's badly bruised face after she was allegedly beaten to a pulp by the rapper.

Following the allegation levelled against him, his now-former record label, DMW, cut off his contract.

14 suspected internet fraudsters arrested in Lagos

14 suspected internet fraudsters have been arrested by the operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

The agency said they arrested the suspects at 1004 Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday, February 4, 2021, following series of intelligence on their alleged fraudulent activities.

The suspects are: Akin Abiola Daramola, Stephen Augustine Terungwa, Oluwateru Abiodun Samson, Jeffrey Imariagbe Ehis, Uwajiala Odion Henry, Solomon Abidiran Pelumi, Adebayo Oluwatobi Isaac Olamide, and Odunifa Joseph Opomulero.

Others are: Adulkarim Samad Olalekan, Anne Davidson, Ibrahim Enakere Emmanuel, Abayomi Oluwagbenga Olowoake, Israel Jigah Sokoamtu, Oluwaseun Olajuwon Ibrahim and Isaiah Effiong.

According to EFCC, the suspects have all been interrogated and will soon be arraigned in court.

Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko has denied allegations of receiving a Prado SUV from a married businessman.

The voluptuous actress took to her Instagram page on Monday, February 8, 2021, where she denied the allegations.

The actress went further to rain curses blogs spreading rumours about her involvement with a married man.

"A lot has been going on. A lot has been flying on the internet ever since I posted my vehicle. I haven't rested and I do not know why. I had wanted to keep quiet because a clear conscience fears no accusation but things kept coming up as if I have done something wrong," she said.

"So I am here to clear the air. I don't know this man you people speak of. I have never met him in my entire life. I swear with my life. I swear with everything I hold sacred. In fact, apart from my life, another person I hold so dear to my heart is my mother."

If I have ever met this man or him giving me any money or him sponsoring my projects or him even buying me a car, let it not ever be well with me and my generation but if not, this people cooking this whole thing up, the blogs sponsoring it, it shall never be well with you all and your entire generation."

Etiko's latest statement is coming barely 48 hours after she released a video of her newly acquired White Prado SUV.

Shortly after she shared the video, rumours began to filter the air on social media that the SUV was gifted to her by a popular married oil businessman.

Veteran Sports Reporter, Pedro Gomez Suddenly Dies At 58

Veteran ESPN SportsCenter reporter, Pedro Gomez died on Sunday, February 7. He was 58.

James Pitaro, Chairman, ESPN, and Sports Content confirmed his death in a statement saying, “We are shocked and saddened to learn that our friend and colleague Pedro Gomez has passed away.”

He also said, “Pedro was an elite journalist at the highest level and his professional accomplishments are universally recognized. More importantly, Pedro was a kind, dear friend to us all. Our hearts are with Pedro’s family and all who love him at this extraordinarily difficult time.”

Pedro was far more than a media personality. He was a Dad, loving husband, loyal friend, coach and mentor,” the Gomez family said in a statement.

“He was our everything and his kids’ biggest believer. He died unexpectedly at home this afternoon.”

Gomez started working as a reporter for ESPN in 2003. He served as a correspondent on SportsCenter, Baseball Tonight as well as other studio shows.

Prior to ESPN, he worked as a sports columnist and national baseball writer for the Arizona Republic. He also worked at the San Jose Mercury News, reporting on the Oakland A’s, and also worked at the Sacramento Bee. His reporting resume also included Miami Herald, San Diego Union, and the Miami News. 

He is survived by his wife Sandra, sons Rio and Dante, and daughter Sierra. Rio is a pitcher in the Red Sox’s organization.
