Raul Jimenez Visits Wolves Training Following Head Injury

Wolves striker Raul Jimenez visited the club’s training ground on Wednesday for the first time since undergoing surgery on a fractured skull.

The Mexico international, 29, suffered the injury in a clash of heads with Arsenal defender David Luiz at Emirates Stadium on 29 November.

Wolves players wore T-shirts with messages of support for Jimenez prior to Sunday’s match against Liverpool.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side lost 4-0 to the defending champions in his absence.

Jimenez greeted his manager and team-mates at Compton Park following his release from hospital as they prepare to face Aston Villa at Molineux on Saturday.

Jimenez scored 17 goals as Wolves finished seventh in the Premier League last season and has netted four times in nine top-flight appearances this term.

Lewis Hamilton To Return For Abu Dhabi Dp

Lewis Hamilton will take part in this weekend’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after testing negative for Covid-19.

The seven-time world champion missed the Sakhir Grand Prix in Bahrain last weekend after contracting coronavirus.

Hamilton, 35, arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday after completing 10 days of quarantine in Bahrain.

Fellow Briton, George Russell, 22, who starred on his Mercedes debut at the Sakhir Grand Prix as Hamilton’s stand-in, will now return to Williams.

Formula 1’s governing body the FIA confirmed that Hamilton had returned a “number of negative Covid-19 tests” before travelling for the final race of the season.

Mercedes had said it was “possible” they would make the decision as to whether Hamilton raced as late as shortly before Saturday’s final practice session, which runs for an hour and starts at 10:00 GMT, three hours prior to qualifying.

Asuu Denies Any Agreement With Federal Government To End Strike By December 9.

The national leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says the union’s negotiating team did not reach an agreement with the Federal Government to end the eight-month strike on December 9.

The Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. CHRIS NGIGE, told journalists on Tuesday that ASUU had last month agreed to end the strike by December 9.

ASUU President, Professor BIODUN OGUNYEMI, who made the clarification in a statement said the union representatives only told the government’s delegation that they would take the government’s offer to the union branches and report back later.

He added that there was nothing in the government’s offer of November 27 to suggest that the union has agreed to suspend the strike.
