Rafael Leao Scores Fastest Ever Serie A Goal In Milan Win

Rafael Leao scored the fastest goal in Serie A history as AC Milan netted after just six seconds of their victory at Sassuolo on Sunday.

The Portuguese forward, 21, took Hakan Calhanoglu's pass in his stride to stroke the unbeaten league leaders ahead virtually from the kick-off.

Leao's goal beat the record of 8.9 seconds set by Piacenza's Paolo Poggi against Fiorentina on 2 December 2001.

The win keeps Milan a point clear of rivals Inter, who beat Spezia 2-1.

Belgium midfielder Alexis Saelemaekers scored Milan's second midway through the first half before Domenico Berardi pulled one back late on for sixth-placed Sassuolo.

But it was Leao's early strike that will adorn the record books, with a shocked Sassuolo defence punished for backing off as Milan surged forward right from the referee's whistle.

The goal was even quicker than the fastest strike in Premier League history - Shane Long's effort for Southampton after 7.69 seconds against Watford on 23 April 2019.

Tiger Woods And Son Charlie Finish Seventh At PNC Exhibition Event

Tiger Woods and his 11-year-old son Charlie finished five shots behind winners Justin Thomas and his father at a two-day exhibition event in Florida.

Team Woods shot a 10-under 62 for the second day in a row to end on 20 under and seventh overall in the scramble format at the PNC Championship.

Team Thomas shot a 15-under 57 to win the title in Orlando by one stroke from Fiji's Vijay Singh and his son Qass.

The PNC Championship sees 20 golfers who have won either a major championship or the Players Championship invited to play alongside a member of their family.

Charlie Woods, the youngest competitor in the tournament's 25-year history, also wore his father's signature red shirt and black trousers outfit on Sunday as they carded two eagles, seven birdies and one bogey in their round.

World number three Thomas and father Mike started with seven straight birdies before another at the ninth hole and seven more on the back nine to finish on 25 under for the tournament.

Team Singh shot a second straight 12-under 60 to finish on 24 under overall, while overnight leaders Matt Kuchar and his 13-year-old son Cameron carded an eight-under 64 to finish in a tie for fifth.

Real Madrid Level At Top After Win At Eibar

Real Madrid beat Eibar to record a fourth straight La Liga win and keep pace with leaders Atletico Madrid.

Karim Benzema opened the scoring with his seventh league goal of the season and then set up Luka Modric as Real scored twice in the opening 13 minutes.

Captain Kike Garcia responded for Eibar with a spectacular curled finish from the edge of the box before half-time.

Both sides had chances in a hard-fought second half, but Lucas Vazquez sealed the points for Real in injury time.

Zinedine Zidane's side moved above second-placed Real Sociedad but have played two games more than leaders Atletico, with the city rivals level on points.

Atletico are away to Real Sociedad in a key game at the top on Tuesday, with Los Blancos facing Granada a day later.

Admist #Covid-19 Large Crowds Floods Lagos Offices In A Bid To Obtain NIN

Large crowds gathered at the offices of the National Identity Management Commission in Lagos in a bid to register and obtain the National Identity Number.

The development comes just days after the Nigerian Communication Commission ordered telecommunications companies to within two weeks suspend phone subscribers who have no NIN.

Currently, only about 41.5 million Nigerians out of an estimated 198 million active phone subscribers have NIN.

Most of the people, who gathered at the NIMC office in Alausa, were either not wearing face masks or not observing physical distancing, thereby flouting the protocol put in place by the government in a bid to tackle the spread of COVID-19 which has been on the increase in the last one week.

Lagos state Governor, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, who has also been infected with COVID-19 ordered the closure of places of worship, schools, clubs and other places which could attract large crowds.

Several Nigerians had expressed concern over the sudden directive of the Federal Government and had asked that the deadline given for the registration be extended but the government has remained adamant.

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project had described the order as an abuse of human rights and threatened to sue the Federal Government within seven days if it is not rescinded.
