Nigerian Rapper Zlatan Ibile Tattoos Ghana’s Ex-President Kwame Nkrumah On His Chest

Popular Nigerian music star, Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael,  known by his stage name, Zlatan Ibile, recently debuted his new tattoo and interestingly, it is a portrait of a former African leader.

In a recent Instagram post, the Lagos Anthem rapper shared a photo of himself bare-chested and sporting a portrait tattoo of Ghana's former president, Kwame Nkrumah.

The rapper has honored Nkrumah with a new tattoo. Although Zlatan didn't mention his motive behind the tattoo, it is safe to say it is his own way of honoring the Ghanaian revolutionary who led his country into independence.

An influential advocate of Pan-Africanism, Nkrumah was a founding member of the Organization of African Unity and winner of the Lenin Peace Prize from the Soviet Union in 1962. Meanwhile, in December 2020, Zlatan shared his journey to becoming one of the popular singers in Nigeria.

In a chat with BBC Pidgin, the 'Yeye Boyfriend crooner' revealed that he worked as a bricklayer and cut grass for people's lands. The singer also noted that he worked in a cold room and went to game centers to gamble so as to be able to feed himself. According to him, he faced so many challenges when he was just starting his career as a musician.

When Zlatan was asked what he would do if he became the president of Nigeria, the singer stated that he would embezzle money. He noted that is what the president and governors are doing. According to him, he will also do basic things for the country, however, he will embezzle some money and leave the country.

Reality TV Star Anto Rants On Mental Health, Says People Have Become Meaner

Former Big Brother Naija housemate Anto Lecky has come out to speak about mental health and its impact on society today.

The reality TV star made this known via her Instagram page on Friday, January 22, 2021.

"I’m just here to rant today...I took this picture 2 years ago at a Mental Health Seminar in South Africa. While I’m grateful that 2 years later, people are becoming more mentally aware, it also seems like people have gotten meaner! What happened to us??," she wrote.

"Someone commits suicide, another person will tweet “Be Kind” but you will scroll down their page and see them trolling people all day long. Make it make sense! Someone will ask their fellow human to report a blog posting lies and humans will say they rather continue reading the gossip."

She went on to address online bullies and social media users who have a thing for making disrespectful and distasteful comments about other people.

"Someone will shave their hair for whatever reason and someone else will say they look like a cancer patient. Someone will get skinny, they must have AIDS. Someone will have big stomach, they must be pregnant. Where did this bad behavior come from?" she added.

"I remember I wrote a post last year about my feelings and problems people close to me were dealing with and humans read it as I was depressed. Some even offered me money thinking I was broke. What is this type of thinking? Who is doing you people?"

"I don’t have the answers but I hope everyone can find happiness. The world around us doesn’t seem to be getting better so you must create happiness for yourself."

On a final note, she stated categorically that she won't answering questions about her mental health from anyone.

"I would love to be a sounding board for anyone that wants to get things off their chest. My DM is open but you have to be very direct and specific. Saying “Hi” will not get you a response. I also won’t be able to answer everyone as my personal mental health is key, but I’ll continue to try and Be Kind to all," she concluded.

Anto was one of the housemates from the second season of Big Brother Naija.

Australian Open Player Reveals She Has Covid-19 With An Apology

A Spanish tennis player who was among many Australian Open competitors to complain about quarantine rules has revealed she has coronavirus.

Paula Badosa said she had felt unwell with symptoms before testing positive for the virus in Melbourne on Thursday.

Badosa is believed to be the fourth competitor to test positive in hotel quarantine, but is the first to identify herself publicly.

On Friday, she said "sorry guys", adding quarantine rules were "pivotal".

The 23-year-old said she had been taken to a separate hotel in Melbourne to "self-isolate and be monitored".

Melbourne endured one of the world's longest lockdowns last year and many locals have concerns about the potential Covid19 risk posed by the tournament.

Badosa is one of 72 players who have been confined full-time to their hotel rooms for 14 days - under a state health order - after the infections were discovered. She has already spent seven days in isolation.

Players who arrived on flights with no infections are also in quarantine but are allowed five hours of court practice a day.

Suarez Double Secures Victory For Atletico Madrid

A Luis Suarez brace sent Atletico Madrid seven points clear in La Liga as they recovered after goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic had given Eibar the lead.

Dmitrovic, taking on penalty duties for the first time for his club, fired in his first career goal.

But Suarez levelled from a tight angle with a driven effort into the far corner after Eibar gave the ball away on the edge of their own box.

Suarez then netted the winner with a Panenka penalty in the 89th minute.

Dmitrovic was denied the chance to try to rescue his side a point when Eibar had a penalty rejected in injury time, as they appealed in vain for a handball against Atleti's Stefan Savic.

The Serb goalkeeper was the fourth player to take a penalty for Eibar in La Liga this season - before he stepped up, they had missed three out of five spot-kicks in the league, including their previous two.

It is a big win for Diego Simeone's side, who now have a strong grip on the title race in Spain.

As well as a seven-point advantage on second-placed Real Madrid, the reigning champions, and a 10-point lead over Barcelona, they have a game in hand on both.

Suarez, who joined the club after being released by Barca in the summer, has played a huge role in helping them achieve this, with Thursday's two goals taking him to 11 for the season - level with Lionel Messi.
