Tuchel Begins Chelsea Reign With Draw Against Wolves

Thomas Tuchel's Chelsea reign got off to a frustrating start as Wolves secured a point in a drab stalemate at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel, appointed boss on Tuesday following the sacking of Frank Lampard, took his place in the dugout after conducting one training session with his new team.

But the German was given an indication of the huge challenge facing him as Chelsea struggled to carve out chances against a Wolves side short of confidence and without a top-flight win since 15 December.

Rui Patricio produced good saves to keep out Antonio Rudiger's header and Callum Hudson-Odoi's deflected attempt, while Chelsea's 433 successful passes were the most by a Tuchel team in the first half of a top-flight game since May 2016.

Ben Chilwell sent a rare chance over the bar but Wolves, who hit the bar through Pedro Neto and gave a debut to striker Willian Jose, were good value for their point.

Nollywood Actor Ernest Asuzu Is Dead

Nollywood actor, Ernest Asuzu, has  been confirmed dead.

Sam Anokam, his close friend and journalist, confirmed the sad incident to an online source, saying he died on Tuesday night.

He was 37 years old .

Asuzu began his acting career in the ’90s and rose to prominence after he starred in the 1997 Nollywood classic, ‘Rituals’

He was the toast of Nollywood until his career nosedived after he came down with a stroke in 2015 which affected his speech. He was also bedridden for three years.

In his last interview published by this newspaper in December 2020, Asuzu said his problem was rather spiritual. He was also planning a return to Nollywood and music after an eight-year hiatus.

He launched a music album, a 7-track album titled, ‘The Truth’ in December 2020.

The cause of his death is not yet known. More details later...

Arterta Dedicates Arsenal Win To Absent Aubameyang

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta dedicated his side's Premier League win over Southampton to absent captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who missed the game for personal reasons.

The Gunners made light of their star striker's absence as they continued their excellent run of league form by coming from behind to beat the Saints in an eventful game.

After Alexandre Lacazette missed a glorious chance to give the Gunners a first-minute lead, Stuart Armstrong put Southampton ahead from a wonderful delivery by captain James Ward-Prowse.

But the lead lasted just five minutes, as Nicolas Pepe equalized with a neat finish, before both sides created clear chances.

England winger Bukayo Saka put the Gunners ahead after going past keeper Alex McCarthy, who had come rushing out of his penalty area, before the 19-year-old picked out Lacazette to seal the points, the Frenchman appearing to send a message of support to Aubameyang in the process.

Arteta's team are finally producing results, with a fifth win in six league games easing the pain of Saturday's FA Cup exit, while building further momentum before Saturday's intriguing home game with high-flying Manchester United.

Omo Ghetto’ Is Officially The Highest Grossing Nollywood Movie

The 2020 comedy film has broken a four-year record formally held by Kemi Adetiba's 'The Wedding Party'.

Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz' 'Omo Ghetto (The Saga)' is now Nollywood's highest grossing movie of all time.

According to Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), the 2020 comedy film has so far grossed N468,036,300 after holding the number one spot for its third week in a row.

'Omo Ghetto' has officially broken a four year record by knocking off Kemi Adetiba's 2016 comedy, 'The Wedding Party'. The movie has been Nollywood highest grossing movie with N453,000,000. In the third place is 'The Wedding Party 2' with N433,197,377.

The Bellos' latest feat is probably the most shocking news in recent times as it comes amid a pandemic that crippled the film industry for months.

Released on Christmas day 2020, the movie which is a sequel to 2010 trilogy 'Omo Ghetto', follows the chaotic life of Shalewa aka Lefty (Funke Akindele). Lefty struggles between living a life of wealth and comfort provided by her adopted mother or returning to her ghetto lifestyle.

The comedy stars Akindele in the dual role of Ayomide and Lefty, Tina Mba, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello, Chioma Akpotha, Bimbo Thomas, Eniola Badmus, Deyemi Okanlawon, Zubby Michael, Mercy Aigbe, Timini Egbuson, Alex Ekubo among others.
