"Nigeria is jokes man, this is a fucking movie. There was a fire at my house last night, thank God it was curtailed, emergency fire department was called guys guess what time they strolled in to my house? 1pm today," she tweeted.

March 24, 2021 Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ to Debut on Disney+ and Cinemas Simultaneously

Marvel’s ‘Black Widow’ to Debut on Disney+ and Cinemas Simultaneously

In its biggest shift to streaming yet, Disney is releasing a film from Marvel on Disney+ at the same time it is released in cinemas.

‘Black Widow,’ the latest film from Disney’s superhero studio, will debut simultaneously in cinemas and on the company’s streaming service on July 9.

The film will be released via the company’s Premier Access function, which means Disney+ subscribers will have to pay an extra fee of $29.99 to watch it.

The highly anticipated superhero film starring Scarlett Johansson was originally slated for release on May 1, 2020, but was delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic disrupting the theater industry.

WarnerMedia, CNN’s parent company, previously announced that it would simultaneously release all Warner Bros. movies on HBO Max this year without charging an additional fee to subscribers.

But Marvel is the biggest blockbuster studio in Hollywood, and Disney is experimenting with an alternate distribution strategy during the pandemic.

In addition to ‘Black Widow,’ Disney will launch the Emma Stone-starring “Cruella” in theaters and on Disney+ via Premier Access on Friday, May 28.

Disney and Pixar’s ‘Luca,’ meanwhile, will stream directly in homes on Disney+ beginning Friday, June 18, similar to how ‘Soul’ was released without any additional charge.

Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ Spends 19th Week on Billboard World Albums Chart

Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ album has spent a record-extending 19th week on the Billboard World Albums Chart.

The album, released in October last year, retained its place on the thirteenth spot for a second week, making it the longest charting African album this decade.  It is also currently the only album by an African artist on the chart.

‘Made in Lagos’ peaked at No.2 back in November last year and has hovered around the top 20 since. A month after its release, Starboy’s fourth album became the longest charting album by an African act on the continent on the Top 20 of Worldwide Apple Music and tied Burna Boy’s ‘Twice As Tall’ as the Nigerian albums with the most weeks spent on the UK Album Charts this decade.

Both artists won awards at the 2021 Grammys, with Wizkid sharing a gong for Best Music Video with Beyonce, and Burna Boy taking home the award for Best Global Music Album.
