Stephanie Linus Announces 2 New Movies

Nollywood royalty Stephanie Okereke-Linus is set to return to the set life with two new confirmed pan African projects; a feature film and a television series.

Linus last production was 'Dry', her multi-award winning 2014 film co-produced by Jane Lawalata.

The actress confirmed the new production in a recently shared Instagram post announcing an audition call for the film and series.

"I’m casting for an international movie and TV series. I need people all across Africa for different roles. Also, I need a 12 year old Albino boy. If you know anyone, let them apply," Linus wrote on Instagram.

The new projects will mark Linus' anticipated return to the screens after nearly seven years. Details of the new projects are currently under wraps including if the actress will be producing as she did with her award-winning 2014 movie 'Dry'.

In March, the star actress announced a gender-based violence awareness series of short films which ran through the month to celebrate International Women's Day.

Nollywood actor Kanayo O. Kanayo will be among the socialites in Anambra state to celebrate with businessman Obi Cubana, at his late mother's burial.

All road leads to Anambra state for the burial ceremony of the year.

In a video that has since gone viral, the movie star is spotted with stacks of cash that will be spent during the burial.

Kanayo O. Kanayo joins the list of celebrities and socialites who have stormed Oba in Anambra state for the much talked about burial.

There have been several viral videos on social media, of friends and associates of Obi Cubana showing off cash they intend to spend at the burial ceremony.

The news of Obi Iyiegbu, popularly known as Obi Cubana's mother's burial first made the headlines during the week after his former employee, Cubana High Priest, gifted him with 46 cows for the burial.

Fans of Wizkid have taken to social media platforms to celebrate the award-winning singer as he clocks 31 on Friday.

Born Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, Wizkid made his debut in the Nigerian music industry in 2011 and has been breaking grounds since then.

Also known as Starboy, the father of three holds several notable achievements in the Nigerian as well as the global music space.

He was featured by Drake and had writing credits for One Dance, a song that appears on the 2O18 Guinness World Record as the most-streamed song on Spotify.

In 2021, Starboy became one of the first Nigerian musicians to win a Grammy for his collaboration with Beyoncé on the song ‘Brown Skin Girl’, which was awarded the Best Music Video.

With the trending hashtags #WizkidAt31 #WIZKIDDAY, his fans also known as Wizkid FC, took to Twitter to celebrate the star.
