Kanayo O Kanayo- ‘If You Don’t Have Your PVC, You Are Part Of Nigeria’s Problem’

Kanayo O Kanayo, a Nigerian film icon, has stated that Nigerians who have not obtained their Permanent Voter's Card, PVC, are contributing to the country's problems.

On Wednesday, July 13, 2022, the actor revealed this in a video posted to his Instagram page.

"You and I have the power to save our country. No one can do it but you. Do not say your vote will not court. First, go and perform your civic responsibility of casting your vote. Going to vote is better than going to church or mosque. Do not misunderstand me," he said.

"There is no In Jesus Name where they are voting that is why you have been saying In Jesus Name and these guys have been doing the same thing. There is no voting on social media. It is a physical exercise. If by now you have not gotten your Permanent Voters Card, you have become part of the problem of Nigeria. I tell you that."

Kanayo O Kanayo joins a long list of Nigerian celebrities who have been vocal about the importance of registering for the upcoming general election.

Peter Okoye, Mr Macaroni, Falz, Davido, and Tacha Akide are among the other celebrities who have been vocal about voter education and registration.

These celebrities have remained steadfast in their belief that Nigeria would get it right in the next elections.

Some of these celebrities have even pledged to expose their colleagues who accept campaign funds from politicians.

While others, like as Okon Lagos, will sell their votes to the highest price.

Portable- I’ve Been Paid To Endorse Tinubu

Portable admitted to collecting money to attack the APC Presidential candidate, but the tables have now been turned.

Habeeb Okikiola, commonly known as Portable, a street-pop performer, has revealed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) paid him to endorse its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

This was revealed in a video that went viral on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

The artist faced backlash on social media after proclaiming support for the APC in the Osun State governorship election on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

The Zazuu crooner also urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu in the 2023 presidential race in a video shared on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile, Portable disclosed in a new video that he was paid to attack the previous Lagos State Governor during the EndSARS rally, but that he has changed his mind because he was paid by the APC.

"If they pay you, you must work." I was previously hired to make fun of Tinubu during protests. That happened a long time ago. The APC has now named Akoi Tinubu as its candidate.

"If they pay you, do your job and don't rip." When I was told to insult Tinubu, I took my pay and did my duty. Tinubu is the next in line. They're the ones who handed me money, and I have to work for the money I've earned. "APC, Akoi," he said in Yoruba.

Inspiration FM also reports that the controversial singer recently tied the knot with the mother of his newborn baby.
