‘I Do Not Intend To Become A Muslim’ – Jim Iyke Reacts To Rumours Of Converting To Islam

Jim Iyke, a Nigerian actor, has responded to reports that he has converted to Islam.

On Thursday, June 2, 2022, the movie actor addressed the rumors on his Instagram page.

According to the actor, the blogger who peddled the rumours took out his photos from a movie he recently made in Ghana.

"Hello everyone I felt it is just necessary to address a certain rumour that has been making the rounds lately. Usually, I don't pay attention to these rumours but certain lines must not be crossed," he said.

"I made a month ago in Ghana about a religious fanatic. Someone took the pictures from that movie and it ended up in the hands of a rather unscrupulous blogger. While I have no issues with any religion, I have no intention, not now or ever to convert my faith."

"I don't understand why anyone would want to peddle these rumours but they are certain lines you should not cross. So whoever is peddling these rumours should get it together. We are too busy for this BS."

This isn't the first time the actor's film has prompted conflicting reviews ahead of its premiere.

It should be remembered that in 2021, the actor made headlines when he got into an almost all-out brawl with another actor Uche Maduagwe.

This was around the time that his film 'Bad Comments' was due to be released in theaters.

During an interview a few months later, the actor stated that the fight he had with Maduagwu was staged.

"It was orchestrated. I wanted them to paint a picture of what it is like in the social media ecosystem. I can orchestrate anything and you would perceive it. It is about perception," he said.

The movie actor said that everything was meticulously planned, scripted, and executed for the film he was promoting at the time.

Jada Pinkett Finally Addresses Oscar Slap On Red Table Talk

On her 'Red Table Talk,' Jada Pinkett Smith has made her second public remark on the notorious Oscar slap.

On the June 1 edition of the popular Facebook series co-hosted by her daughter and mother, the actress spoke briefly about her husband, Will Smith, assaulting comedian Chris Rock.

Pinkett said she decided to talk about the issue because the episode centred on alopecia, an health condition that causes hair loss.

“I’m using this moment to give our alopecia family an opportunity to talk about what it’s like to have this condition and to inform people about what alopecia actually is.”

Smith had smacked Chris Rock on the Oscar stage over a joke about Pinkett's bald head, in case you missed it. The actor was later barred from the Academy for a period of ten years.

“Now about Oscar night, my deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.”
“The state of the world today, we need them both. And we all actually need one another more than ever. Until then, Will and I are continuing to do what we have done for the last 28 years, and that’s keep figuring out this thing called life together. Thank you for listening.”

BBNaija’s Pere Denies Romantic Relationship With Kogi State First Lady

Pere Egbi, a former Big Brother Naija contestant, has denied having an affair with Rashida Bello, the first lady of Kogi State.

The former US soldier turned reality TV celebrity revealed this on Twitter in response to a message speculating on the connection.

"For the records, the publication about me and the First Lady of Kogi state is a demonic lie and a figment of a diseased imagination of Jackson Ode and those retweeting that rubbish, they must answer me in court both in Nigeria and in the United States of America where he is based," he tweeted.

Pere's tweet came only hours after a Twitter user claimed he was dating  the First Lady

"Why is Pere Egbi from #BBNaija all over the place with Rashida Bello, Kogi's first lady?" The rumor in Abuja is that they are lovers. Mrs Bellos and Egbi are claimed to have been seen multiple times at the Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The gist is that the first lady gave Pere 5 million naira when they first met," he tweeted.

The tweet was, however, removed by the Twitter user.
