In September 2021, the singer, R. Kelly was found guilty of eight counts of Mann Act violations as well as one racketeering charge. The Mann Act forbids the transportation of "any woman or girl" over state boundaries for any "immoral purpose."

According to PageSix, the jury of seven men and five women deliberated the case for nine hours over the course of two days before reaching a decision.

The judge had been urged by the case's prosecutors for a sentence that was greater than 25 years.

Additionally, according to the prosecution, R. Kelly utilized his fame and fortune to seduce young girls and boys as well as ladies for sex.

The decision was originally slated to be rendered on May 5, however it was later delayed.

It should be remembered that the disgraced musician was found guilty in 2021 of decades-long sexual abuse of women, boys, and girls.

R&B singer Aaliyah, whom Kelly unlawfully married in a Chicago hotel room in 1994 when she was 15 years old, was one of his victims.

Kelly's defense team brought a few former coworkers and acquaintances to testify in order to refute claims that the singer sexually assaulted women, girls, and boys.

JJC Skillz Announces Split From Funke Akindele

The marriage of Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and her husband Abdul Bello, also known as JJC Skillz, has collapsed.

The renowned rapper claimed that he made the decision to publicly disclose their breakup in order to let people know that he and Funke Akindele are already living separate lives.

"Dear Friends and family I need to let you know that Funke and I have separated. While it lasted we shared a lot of things together and have created 2 beautiful children. The last two years have been extremely difficult for us," he wrote.

"I know I have tried my best to fix things but I believe it is beyond repair now. 3 months ago and at Funke's insistence I moved out of the house and apart from AMVCA have not been able to get Funke to sit down in an amicable manner to discuss the future of our relationship."

"I'm making this announcement so that the public is clear that we both are pursuing separate lives. We still have issues that need to be addressed such as the custody and wellbeing of our children which is paramount as well as business interests which need to be disentangled but I have no doubt that these will be resolved one way or the other," he concluded.

Trouble in Bello's family home initially came to light when the celebrity's stepson, Benito, accused her online.

Benito admitted that things were not going smoothly in one of Nollywood's most respected marriages when it was trending.

June 29, 2022 Widow, Parents To Share Chadwick Boseman’s $2.3 Million Estate

Widow, Parents To Share Chadwick Boseman’s $2.3 Million Estate

The estate of the late Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman will be divided equally between his parents Leroy and Carolyn Boseman and spouse Taylor Simone Ledward-Boseman.

The actor unexpectedly passed away from colon cancer in 2020, and because of his untimely death, there was no will to instruct the family on how to manage his wealth.

According to court records, Boseman's estate was initially estimated to be worth $3,881,758, but after paying for his expensive burial and legal bills, the valuation was reduced to $2.5 Million plus $157,000 in cash.

Responsible parties for the $2 million
Ledward-Boseman, Boseman's widow, presented paperwork detailing all costs incurred after his passing and requested reimbursement. The actor's parents will be buried nearby at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, and the purchase of a plot of land close to the actor's last resting place cost roughly $50,000.

Chadwick Boseman, Inc., the actor's business, is said to have owing $51,000 in taxes, and $900,000 was used to post a bond in a probate dispute. The two parties will each receive $1.15 million of the remaining $2.3 million.

It is claimed that if Boseman had created a will, the significant amount in legal expenditures may have been avoided. Three years after his cancer diagnosis, Boseman secretly married Taylor Simone Ledward in 2019. They were dating prior to the actor's illness.

At the time of his passing, Boseman had roles in the Black-American historical dramas '42', 'Ma Rainey's Black Bottom', 'Get On Up', and 'Da 5 Bloods,' as well as the highest earning superhero picture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, 'Black Panther.'
