Portable- I’ve Been Paid To Endorse Tinubu

Portable admitted to collecting money to attack the APC Presidential candidate, but the tables have now been turned.

Habeeb Okikiola, commonly known as Portable, a street-pop performer, has revealed that the All Progressive Congress (APC) paid him to endorse its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

This was revealed in a video that went viral on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

The artist faced backlash on social media after proclaiming support for the APC in the Osun State governorship election on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

The Zazuu crooner also urged Nigerians to vote for Tinubu in the 2023 presidential race in a video shared on his Instagram page.

Meanwhile, Portable disclosed in a new video that he was paid to attack the previous Lagos State Governor during the EndSARS rally, but that he has changed his mind because he was paid by the APC.

"If they pay you, you must work." I was previously hired to make fun of Tinubu during protests. That happened a long time ago. The APC has now named Akoi Tinubu as its candidate.

"If they pay you, do your job and don't rip." When I was told to insult Tinubu, I took my pay and did my duty. Tinubu is the next in line. They're the ones who handed me money, and I have to work for the money I've earned. "APC, Akoi," he said in Yoruba.

Inspiration FM also reports that the controversial singer recently tied the knot with the mother of his newborn baby.

July 13, 2022 2023: APC Mocks Funke Akindele’s Nomination, Says PDP Is Unserious

2023: APC Mocks Funke Akindele’s Nomination, Says PDP Is Unserious

According to the APC, the opposition party resorted to the entertainment business to find a deputy.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos has reacted to the choice of popular actress Funke Akindele as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Lagos, Dr. Abdulaziz Olajide Adediran nicknamed Jandor.

The party's spokeswoman, Seye Oladejo, said in a statement on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, that Akindele's selection as a deputy governorship candidate "underscores the unseriousness of Lagos state PDP."

Oladejo claimed that the opposition party not only nominated a former APC member for governor, but also "went to the make-believe industry to acquire a deputy."

He said, “This amounts to trivializing the importance of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections by giving political neophytes who have absolutely nothing to bring to the table their electoral tickets.

“It also shows lack of depth in the party as regards quality members to put forward for elections if they could give a member who crossed-carpeted a few days before their primaries the governorship ticket and now went to the make-believe industry to fetch a deputy.

“The reason for voters’ apathy is, undoubtedly, due to lack of credible alternatives by the moribund opposition party.

“I was amused to read that the deputy governorship candidate said she was suspending her acting career for the elections whose result is highly predictable. I guess she’s suspending a lot more because she has been in the news of recent for all the wrong reasons.

“Lagosians will certainly not allow governance to be turned to a needless experiment or a sitcom. Governance is serious business not a circus”.
