BNXN Wins Next Rated Award At 2022 Headies Awards

Daniel Benson, a Nigerian Afrobeats superstar also known as BNXN and formerly known as Buju, won this year's ceremony's highly regarded "Next Rated" award.

The "Kilometer" singer took home the prestigious accolade ahead of other contenders Ayra Starr, Zinoleesky, Lojay, and Ruger.

BNXN expressed his gratitude to everyone who has supported his music and career while accepting his prize at the Atlanta, United States of America, event.

The 2022 Bentley Bentayga, which serves as the award's prize, will be given to BNXN as compensation for receiving the distinguished award.

 Buju BNXN  joins the exclusive club of headies next rated award winners, which also includes Omay Lay, Mayorkun, Reekado Banks, and Mayorkun.

Wyclef Jean Wins Best International Artist Recognition Award At The 2022 Headies Awards

At the 2022 Headies Awards, Wyclef Jean is presented with the Best International Artist Recognition Award.

In the most recent collaboration, 9ice, the Haitian artist worked with 2Baba and Akon. He has eight albums, various charting singles, including Shakira's "Hips Don't Lie," and he has won numerous honors.

In addition to being an actor and record producer, Wyclef Jean is best known for being a part of the hip-hop group The Fugees.

He has won three Grammy Awards and has received a Golden Globe Award nomination for his musical work.  In 2011, President Michel Martelly  of Haiti awarded Jean with the National Order of Honour and Merit to the rank of Grand Officer. Jean has also been inducted into the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

Ice Prince Arrested After Allegedly Threatening To Throw Police Officer In River

Rapper Ice Prince from Nigeria was detained by police officers after allegedly attacking one of them.

The short version is that the musician kidnapped and threatened to throw one officer into the river after being pulled over for driving without a license, according to a statement made by Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Laos State Police Command.

"At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today," he tweeted.

The police spokesperson also released a photo of the music star.

The rapper dressed in a white outfit looked remorseful.

‘I Look Forward To Recording With Asa,’ -Brymo

Popular Nigerian singer-songwriter Brymo has admitted that he longs to collaborate with Asa, another country's current international sensation.

Brymo, a multi-award-winning artist from Nigeria, announced on Twitter on July 31, 2022, that he is interested in working with the incredibly gifted Asa.

In the tweet. Brymo said: "I can’t wait to curate a tune or a few with Aṣa. You @Asa_official, are one I have dreamt, and still look forward to recording with… (and this is a cry for help, I’d love to do it soon…) lol"

Asa replied that she was excited to work with Brymo as well, and she made this clear. Asa posted "With Pleasure" in response to Brymo's tweet, indicating that she would be open to working with the latter.

Two of Nigeria's best singers and songwriters are Brymo and Asa. A collaboration between them will undoubtedly be explosive and feature layered composition as well as mesmerizing vocals.

A-Q and Brymo recently collaborated on an album, which critics and listeners alike have dubbed a special project. On a song with the equally gifted Asa, Brymo should test the limits of his abilities.
