A fire broke out at a Mobil fuel station near Airport Hotel on Obafemi Awolowo Way, Ikeja, Lagos. The incident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday during a busy period of petrol sales.
Reports indicate that the fire engulfed and destroyed more than two vehicles.

A well-known crossdresser, popularly referred to as 'Abuja Area Mama,' was found dead in the Banex, Wuse II area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The body was discovered lying motionless along the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway on Thursday morning, with the crossdresser's full identity yet to be confirmed.
Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, confirmed the discovery in a statement. She noted that the Commissioner of Police, CP Benneth Igweh, has ordered a thorough and discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
