Gospel Singer Victoria Orenze Releases New Album

Victoria Orenze, a gospel singer and pastor, has released her fourth album, Truth in Sounds.

On Thursday, the Covenant Keeping God singer, who recently headlined a worship performance in the United Kingdom, released the 13-track album on all digital platforms.

In a statement the gospel singer stated that the album's goal was to help Christians know God via his word while also exposing unbelievers to Jesus.

"The Bible is The Truth," said Orenze, a prominent pastor of Jesus Unhindered Church, "and because of its timeless character, the words in it can be believed." "There is nothing new under the sun that The Bible has not recorded."

Truth in Sounds, released by Kadosh Music, was recorded live with the Usound United band. Pastor Victoria wrote and produced all 13 songs on the CD, with one song including Nathaniel Bassey on trumpet.

Return, the singer's debut album, was published in 2016 and includes most of her hit tracks, including "On Fire," "Covenant Keeping God," and "Brooding."

Her additional songs, "Glorify Your Name" and "All I Have Is You," were released in 2019 on the albums Jesus Christ: The Way, The Truth, and Life VOL 1&2.

Her most recent hit, Truth in Sounds, comes after two EPs and several singles.

On what the album means to her, Orenze penned a personal message to every listener, “Scripture says in Matthew 24:35 and Luke 21: 33; “Heaven and earth will pass away, but His word will never pass away. I, Victoria Orenze, an Apostle of Jesus Christ, believe that every Christian or Believer is a Preacher.

“Hence, if your expression or one of your ways of expression is singing, then, it’s your job to preach The Gospel, which is the word of God, through songs. I welcome you into the experience of the Bible through ‘Truth in Sounds’ or simply put, ‘The Bible in Sounds.'”

Trevor Noah Bows Out As Daily Show Host

Trevor Noah, a South African TV broadcaster, has announced his departure as host of The Daily Show, seven years after taking over the role.

Noah revealed this near the close of his program on Thursday night, prompting many in the audience to scream in surprise.

The Son of Patricia comic also praised his crew, staff members, and the audience for their support, particularly at the start of the program when he was still relatively unknown.

"I remember when we originally started, so many people didn't believe in us," he added. It was an insane bet to make. This random African is still a strange pick in my opinion.

“I just find myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It’s been absolutely amazing. It’s something that I never expected.

“I realise that after seven years, my time is up, but in the most beautiful way.

“I’ve loved hosting this show. It’s been one of my greatest challenges, it’s been one of my greatest joys. But after seven years, I feel like it’s time.”

Also thanking the Comedy Central network for giving him a chance, the Emmy winner added that he has other aspects of his life he wants to “carry on exploring.”

Trevor said, “I miss learning other languages. I miss going to other countries and putting on shows. I miss just being everywhere and doing everything.

“I’m really grateful to a network who believed in this random comedian nobody knew on this side of the world.

“I never dreamed that I would be here. I sort of felt like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I came in for a tour of what the previous show was, and then the next thing I know I was handed the keys. All I can say is thank you very much.”

R. Kelly May Be Ordered to Pay One of His Victims $300,000

R. Kelly, the disgraced musician, may be required to pay more than USD 300,000 to one of the young people he sexually exploited as part of his intricate strategy to get notoriety.

The expense of the person's herpes treatment and counseling will be covered by a restitution order issued by U.S. District Judge Ann Connelly, which is still being finalized.

The woman, who wishes to remain unnamed, claims that the singer exposed her to the STD during one of their encounters.

After being found guilty by a jury in 2021 on several counts of racketeering involving bribery and forced labor, Kelly was sentenced to 30 years in jail in June.

He was also found guilty of many children sex assault and child pornography counts earlier this month.

Three counts of child pornography and three counts of child enticement led to the Grammy winner's conviction.

A fourth child pornography count and a charge of conspiring to obstruct justice accusing him of manipulating his state child pornography trial in 2008 were also dropped by the jury, though.

He appeared via video link from a Chicago prison during a hearing at a federal court in Brooklyn.

At his sentencing, Kelly was referred to as "the pied piper of R&B" after numerous of his victims spoke about his "deplorable and unfathomable" abuse that occurred over decades.

The singer, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, is known for songs including his first number one single Bump N’ Grind, and 1996 hit I Believe I Can Fly.

The latter developed into a motivational song that was used at weddings, inaugurations of former U.S. president Barack Obama in 2008, and other events.
