The 2022 Headies, which took place in Atlanta, United States of America, have given individual prizes to Nigerian singers Olamide, Wizkid, and Adekunle Gold.

Anthony Anderson, a nominee for an Emmy, and Osas Ighodoro, a celebrated actress from Nigeria, hosted the program.

Leading the nominations list for the 15th Headies is Wizkid who led with 11 nominations. Following behind him is Ayra Starr and Tems who both have 8 nominations each.

Rapper Ice Prince from Nigeria was detained by police officers after allegedly attacking one of them.

The short version is that the musician kidnapped and threatened to throw one officer into the river after being pulled over for driving without a license, according to a statement made by Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Laos State Police Command.
