‘You’ve Never Liked Me’ Davido Tells DJ Maphorisa

In a pretty shocking tweet, Nigerian megastar Davido publicly questioned why South African DJ Maphorisa does not like him.

It all started when a rather arrogant Twitter user and Davido fan claimed that Davido introduced Amapiano to Nigeria and popularized the genre after appearing on Focalistic's 'K-Star' remix.

The post went on to suggest that Wizkid's latest single, 'Bad For Me,' was a desperate attempt to score a success following Davido's alleged importation of the South African genre.

The message elicited numerous responses, with Twitter users, particularly Wizkid supporters, engaging in various history lessons in an attempt to set the record straight.

As the debate over the initial interactions of Nigerian artists with Amapiano raged on, South African DJ, DJ Maphorisa, took it upon himself to set the record straight.

"Kabza & Maphorisa was the first to put Wizkid n Burnaboy on an amapiano song Sponono dat was a historical moment 3 years ago, research before tweet also it was the first time Wiz n Burna jumped on a same song together let it sink in," Maphorisa tweeted along with an emoji of an eagle commonly used by Wizkid.

Davido decided to air his thoughts in a tweet claiming that Maphprisa never liked him and he doesn't know why. "You've never liked me" Davido reacted.

"You’ve never liked me y? I’ve always been good to you …. Anyways! AWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY NOW!!!!!! Chu chu chu chu chu" Davido tweeted in a post that has predictably been met with different reactions.

Various public spats between artists have recently been sparked by music stans. Ruger and BNXN had a social media spat triggered by a statement from an anonymous stan.

Burna Boy also recently had a Twitter spat with Wizkid's FC, whom he called illiterates. The impending clash between Davido and Maphorisa is the latest brawl instigated by a fan.

Mercy Chinwo Publicly Celebrates One-Month Marriage, Amid Criticism

Mercy Chinwo, a gospel singer, has praised her husband, Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa, on their one-month wedding anniversary.

On her Instagram page late Monday, the singer published a photo of herself and her spouse while singing his praises.

Chinwo stated that marrying Pastor Blessed was the best decision she had made following salvation.

She went on to praise the cleric as "full of grace and honesty."

"I can't contain my joy and excitement," the singer wrote. It's been a month with my gee, and there's still a long way to go.

“After Christ, the best decision I ever made. A man filled with so much grace and truth. You are the evidence that I am indeed blessed. I Love Love Love you SWEET.”

Chinwo's tweet was met with criticism from a fan who suggested the singer should stop flaunting her marriage on social media.

Following their August 13 wedding, the singer celebrated her birthday on September 5th, and her husband gave her an SUV, which she showed on her social media pages.

Confidence, a Facebook user, said in part, “I know she has posted the car her husband bought for her but please let her keep other upcoming gifts and blessings on low.

“The man will buy her house and other stuffs but let her not get too excited with vanity and forget ministry works.

“The aim is to lead souls to Christ through her singing prowess and grace and not show earthly achievements thereby drawing the attention of many doubters. I hope you understand.

“To us, what she’s doing is good. At least, they’re giving us content but then some people are feeling oppressed.”

The comment had since sparked various reactions on the Internet and Chinwo’s recent post suggested that the singer was unperturbed about the comment.
