Mohbad Returns With New Single, Takes Swipe At Naira Marley, Marlian Records

Following the developments between him and his previous label Marlian Records, street-hop star Mohbad from Nigeria is returning with a brand-new release.

In his most recent album, Mohbad took direct shots at Naira Marley and other Marlian Records signees over their interactions.

Mohbad said in his latest song that Marlian Records was for his life and had even threatened him and his parents. This is a charge he has previously leveled when he initially came forth to ask for assistance regarding his problems with Marlian Records.

"Won ti se ojoro...won fe ma corner mi," he says in the track and this translate to "they have cheated...they wanted to trick me". He also went on to admit that he might not have much but he's okay and happy.

Readers may remember that Inspiration FM covered the conflict between Mohbad and Marlian Records, with Mohbad tweeting claiming he was physically beaten at Marlian's home for wanting to switch managers.

The label's owner, Naira Marley, then came out to admit that Mohbad was drunk during the events and that his allegations of physical assault were false. Later, Mohbad would publicly say that Naira's remark was an effort to conceal the truth.

The newest step in the conflict between the parties is the diss track released by Mohbad, which comes after he decided to leave the label and recently served Naira Marley with contract termination documents.
