With a new appointment in Edo State, Phyna, the Season 7 winner of the reality television program BBNaija, has added her name to the expanding list of BBNaija alumni political appointments. She received a new name from the Esama of Benin in addition to her new position. She was referred to by the king as "Olokunameh," which is Arabic for "The goddess of riches."

The state government is thrilled to partner with Phyna to realize vision 2050, according to the Commissioner for Youth and Gender Issues, Hon. Andrew Adaze Emwanta Esq. JP, who spoke on behalf of the Governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki.

In his words, “As a government, we do not take issues of Youth development for granted and as you can see the governor has appointed a young person to this Ministry, not just a department of Youth but we also have gender. We are happy with what you want to do in the area of human trafficking, drug abuse, agriculture and fabrication. It is not everybody who wins the star prize that will have this kind of idea. Be rest assured that Edo State will be ready to support you.”

Making the announcement on her page, she said, “It’s a great privilege to announce to you all that I am now the brand ambassador to Rixari skin secrets @rixariskinsecrets. Having to maintain flawless skin has been a priority for me and Rixari Skin Secrets does a magnificent job, it is time to experience that flawless skin.”

Brazilian Music Legend Gal Costa Dies At 77

Gal Costa, a Brazilian singer whose crystalline voice and transgressive sensuality served as the inspiration for the revolutionary "Tropicalia" movement in the 1960s, passed away on Wednesday, according to her public relations firm. She was 77.

In the 1960s, Costa performed with some of the greatest stars in Brazil's burgeoning popular music industry and immortalized many of their songs, including those by Caetano Veloso, Chico Buarque, Tom Jobim, and Milton Nascimento.

A spokesperson for Costa's PR company told AFP, "Unfortunately, we confirm" that Costa passed away but was unable to provide any additional information.

Brazilian media said that Sao Paulo resident Costa recently postponed a performance at the city's Primavera Sound music festival on the recommendation of medical professionals after surgery to remove a nodule from her right nasal cavity in September.

However, it was anticipated that she would return to the stage, and according to her website, her next appearance would be a concert in Sao Paulo on December 17.

Brazil saw a strong emotional reaction to the news of her passing, including from some of the largest musicians.

Gilberto Gil, a well-known singer-songwriter and former minister of culture, tweeted, "I'm deeply heartbroken and saddened by the passing of my'sister' @GalCosta.

Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the next president of Brazil, shared a photo of himself hugging Costa on Instagram.

He called her "one of the world's greatest vocalists, one of our leading artists who carried the name and sounds of Brazil to the whole globe."

"Today, the nation lost one of its great voices,"

According to her agency, Costa is survived by her 16-year-old adoptive son.
