November 30, 2020 Atleast 100 civilians killed by Boko Haram Sect on rice farm in Borno State -UN

There are strong indications that over hundred people may have been killed when Boko Haram terrorists invaded a rice farm in Zabarmari area of Borno State over the weekend.

Initial report says 43 farmers were killed by suspected members of the Boko Haram while harvesting their crops on Saturday at a rice field at Koshobe, in Borno state.

However, the United Nations shedding more light on the attack said 110 civilians were killed by Boko Haram sect in the incident.

The UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Nigeria, Mr. EDWARD KALLON, who disclosed this, also said, many other persons were  injured and still missing in the deadly attack by the terrorist group.

Also, the Amnesty International in a tweet disclosed that 16 of the victims were internally displaced persons recently relocated to their homes.

While speaking on a monitored programme, the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Major General, JOHN ENECHE said those killed remain 43 but that the casualty figure could rise.
