Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has officially parted ways with Olamide’s YBNL Nation.

Amid speculation about a controversial departure, Asake put the rumors to rest by releasing his latest single, Why Love, under his newly established label, Giran Republic.

Despite leaving YBNL, Asake previously paid tribute to Olamide in his song Military, released earlier this year, dismissing any talk of a fallout between them.

The singer joined YBNL Nation in February 2022 and later signed a distribution deal with Empire in July of the same year. While he has moved on from YBNL, Asake continues to maintain his partnership with Empire.
