The Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) has unveiled the much-awaited list of nominees for its 2025 edition, spotlighting exceptional accomplishments in film, television, and digital content created and released from January 1 to December 31, 2024. Leading the pack this year are standout projects like Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, each earning multiple nods across categories such as Best Movie and Best Director.
In the acting races, the Best Lead Actor category pits acclaimed performers Gideon Okeke, Stan Nze, Femi Adebayo, and Adedimeji Lateef against one another. On the women’s side, Chioma Chukwuka, Bimbo Ademoye, and Uche Montana headline the nominees for Best Lead Actress. Fans can now cast their votes, with public voting officially underway and set to close on May 4, 2025. The grand reveal of the winners will take place during a live broadcast of the awards ceremony on May 10, 2025, airing across all Africa Magic channels on DStv and GOtv.
