Despite a minor setback where she was shown a yellow card for an early start, Amusan displayed resilience and determination, lining up once more for the race.
With the gun signaling the start for the second time, Amusan left no room for error, sprinting to a commanding victory with a remarkable time of 12.89 seconds. This triumph marks her third consecutive African Games gold medal, adding to her previous victories in Congo, Brazzaville, and Rabat.
Though not reaching the podium, Nigerian athlete Faith Osamuyi showcased commendable effort, narrowly missing out on a top-three finish with a fourth-place time of 13.77 seconds.
