The Adamawa State High Court sitting in Yola has ordered the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to liaise with the INTERPOL, to arrest a former Minister Of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
This is just as the Court presided over by Justice Nathan Musa, sentenced two INEC officials to 21 years imprisonment each for receiving a bribe of N36m from Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, during 2015 general election.
The convicts, Ibrahim Mohammed and Sahabo Iya-Hamman were arraigned before the court by EFCC alongside Madueke still at large, under the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act 2000.
The EFCC had filed a three count-charge against them for allegedly deploying over N362million derived from a $115m slush fund to influence the outcome of the 2015 presidential elections in favour of the candidate of the then ruling People’s Democratic Party.
