The federal government has summoned a meeting of the Committee on Review of Tariffs and Charges in the Electricity Sector to consider the new pricing of electricity by the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission, rejected by the organised labour.
Already, the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress have asked the federal government to reverse the tariff increase or face the consequences.
However, to prevent another industrial crisis, the Minister of Labour and Employment, CHRIS NGIGE, stated that a meeting of the committee has been scheduled to address the concerns.
