COVID-19 cases in Nigeria increased further yesterday with 182 cases just as the nation intensifies efforts to flatten the curve of the pandemic.
The new cases were confirmed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Twitter.
The new cases take the country’s total infections to 8,915 out of which 2,592 have been discharged with 259 losing their lives.
Breakdown of the cases spread across 15 states and the FCT, shows Lagos accounting for the highest with 111 cases, Akwa Ibom-10, Oyo-8, Kaduna and Delta had new 6 cases, Rivers-5, Ogun and Ebonyi with 4 cases each while Kano recorded new 3 cases and Plateau, Kwara and Gombe with fresh 2 cases each.
Other states with one case each are Kebbi, Bauchi and Borno and the FCT with 16 cases.
