The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed a total of 389 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 8,733.
NCDC says the figure is the highest that the country has recorded in a single day.
Out of the 389 new cases, Lagos State recorded 256 of them.
However, Kogi State, recorded its first two cases of the virus.
