The total Coronavirus cases in Nigeria has risen to 7, 839 as the NCDC announced new 313 infections in 16 states and the FCT.

Of the news cases announced Lagos accounted for the highest number of infections for the day with 148 cases.

36 were recorded in the FCT, 27 in Rivers, Edo with 19, Kano 13, Ogun 12, Ebonyi 11, Nasarawa and Delta with 8 cases each, Oyo 7, Plateau 6, Kaduna 5, Kwara 4, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa with 3 new cases each, Niger 2 and Anambra 1.

So far 2, 263 patients have been discharged with the nation’s recording 226 deaths from the virus.
