Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana has said the presidency has no power to stop the planned protest by aggrieved Nigerians who are calling for the replacement of the service chiefs.
Â
Falana was responding to a statement by presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu that condemned the planned protest accusing the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party of sponsoring the march.Â
Â
While responding to a statement credited to a presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Falana said Nigerians have the fundamental right to demonstrate for or against the Federal Government.
Â
He said the statement shows that the presidency is opposed to protests against the government.
Falana said the call for the resignation of the service chiefs is justifiable.
