The immediate past Minister of Justice, Mohammed Adoke has been freed from EFCC custody after 53 days.
He has been in the custody of the anti-graft agency after he was arrested upon his return from a self-exile, since December 19, 2019.
But he regained his freedom yesterday shortly after he was granted bail by Justice Binta Nyako in the fresh money laundering charges instituted against him by the EFCC.
He and his co-accused, Aliyu Abubakar, earlier pleaded not guilty to the seven counts instituted against them.
Adoke’s lawyer, Mike Ozekhome speaks to us on why he expressed worry over the delay in the trial and what next after his client has been granted bail.
