English-born Nigerian footballer Jordan Chiedozie is in a coma after being hit by a car on the motorway.

The 30-year-old, who plays for non-league side Bashley FC, had featured in a match against Tavistock over the weekend. On the journey back, Chiedozie and the team’s physio, Reighan Taylor, experienced a flat tire on the M27 motorway. While stepping out to assess the situation, he was struck by another vehicle, suffering severe injuries described as "life-changing and potentially life-threatening."

Bashley FC released a statement expressing their devastation over the incident, stating, "Jordan was taken to Southampton Hospital with multiple broken bones and other physical injuries. At this time, he remains in a controlled coma."
