The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has accepted an invitation from President Bola Tinubu to visit Nigeria later this year.

This was disclosed in a statement released by the President’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga.

The invitation followed discussions between the two leaders during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025. President Tinubu arrived in Abu Dhabi on Sunday as a guest of the UAE President and participated in the forum, which focuses on promoting sustainable development and addressing global challenges such as climate change and energy issues.

Onanuga stated that during their discussions, Sheikh Al Nahyan expressed the UAE’s commitment to enhancing economic cooperation with Nigeria.
