Alex Iwobi has moved into second place on the list of Nigerians with the most Premier League appearances following Fulham's 3-2 defeat to West Ham United on Tuesday night.

The 28-year-old has now made 274 appearances in the English top flight, surpassing the previous record held by Nwankwo Kanu, the former Arsenal, Portsmouth, and West Bromwich Albion forward.

Shola Ameobi, the former Newcastle United striker, remains at the top with 293 Premier League appearances.

Iwobi made his Premier League debut with Arsenal in October 2015 and went on to play 100 league games for the Gunners. He later moved to Everton, where he has made 123 appearances in the league.
