January 12, 2025 EPL: Saka Returns to Arsenal Training After Hamstring Surgery

Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has made a return to the club’s training ground following surgery on a hamstring injury.

The 23-year-old sustained the injury during a match against Crystal Palace last month and is expected to be sidelined until March. Despite his absence from the pitch, Saka has been a regular presence at Arsenal’s Sobha Reality Training Centre.

Manager Mikel Arteta has encouraged Saka to use his recovery period as an opportunity for personal growth. Speaking to reporters, Arteta said, “He’s been around a lot. It’s great to have him. There’s always a smile on his face.

“He’s going through a period that is unknown for him because he has never been injured for such a long time. We’ve discussed the things we can do together and the things he can do to use the time in the right way—to make him a better person.

“We want to make sure he spends this time effectively so that when he returns, he’s in the best possible place.”

Saka’s continued involvement at the training ground highlights his commitment to the team, even as he focuses on his recovery. Arsenal fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to action later this season.
