CKay has emerged as the Nigerian artist with the highest-selling song in the United States, marking a significant milestone in the global success of Afrobeats. The genre continues to thrive internationally, especially in the U.S., where Nigerian stars have earned multiple platinum certifications.

CKay leads the pack with over 8 million units sold, thanks to his viral hit single Love Nwantiti, which gained massive traction on TikTok in 2021. This makes the song the most certified Nigerian track in the United States, positioning it to potentially become Afrobeats' first-ever diamond record.

Following CKay is Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, whose top 10 single Essence, featuring Tems and Justin Bieber, has sold over 4 million units. Wizkid also holds the title of the most certified Nigerian artist in the U.S. with a total of eight certifications.

Rema ranks third, having sold over 5 million units in the U.S. on the back of his global hit Calm Down. The track, certified 6x RIAA platinum, has set multiple records, including being the first African song to surpass 1 billion streams in the U.S. and reaching a peak position of No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. Calm Down also became the first African track to spend over 52 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped Billboard's radio chart.

Other Nigerian artists have also made significant achievements. Tems became the first Nigerian artist to debut on the Billboard Hot 100, Burna Boy holds the record for the most Hot 100 entries by a Nigerian act, and Davido's Fall was the first Nigerian song to be certified RIAA Gold.
